List of Popular street Food in Old Gurgaon

Gurgaon has lots of hidden and unknown street food joints, out of which few are very famous and functional for more than 30 years. Like old Delhi , Gurgaon also has old Gurgaon , most of these legendary and famous joints are in old Gurgaon.

Balji Resturant ( Sadar Bazaar)

A small restaurant with a mere capacity of 20-30 Pax since the beginning. Famous for its Chole bhature  and Gulab Jamun .

Where : Few Meter walk from Sohna Chowk .

Sardar Jalebi wala and Jain Jalebi (Sadar Bazaar)

Both Jalebi shops are almost next to each other  and both are famous , Sardar jalebi wala famous for thick jalebi whereas Jain Jalebi famous for the crispier version of jalebi .

Where : Behind Gol Dakhana ( Post office in Sadar bazar)

Sanjay Egg omelet

Now,this must be new for many people. A small Cart serving amazing Omelet and fried eggs.  A Special mention for the amazing green chutney he serves with the omelet. The Hidden Gem .

Where : Few meters before St. Crispin’s school on New railway road . 

Timings : After 19:00 till 23:39

Civil Lines Wala

Yet another Chole bhature joint , Not so old like Balji but easy to locate and more hygienic than balji .

Where : Right opposite Clarks INN hotel, Civil lines.

Timings: 9 AM to 4:30 PM


Kishu Di Hatti

A legendary food place. Be it crispy aloo tikki or samosa served with chole or chutney , both are super amazing and spicy too .

It is also famous for Dhoda Sweet which is less sweet and better than Om sweets. Namak Pare / Sukhe Matar is also a must take away from this place.

Where: New Colony , Old Gurgaon

Timings: 8am – 10:30PM

Fish Fry at Papu fish Corner

Papu Fish Corner :

Papu Fish corner serves only two types of fish, Fried, and tandoor. Run by father and his two sons , it is only available during winters from Nov till march.

Where :  New Colony More , Old Railway road Gurgaon ( Google: Raj Mahal Delux restaurant ) and take a left from a signal .

Price : 900kg.

Timing : Evening 6pm-11pm

Mangle di Kulfi

Just few meter from Kishu stands this  ice cream center, which serves super delicious stick kulfi and Matka kulfi .

Where: Multiple outlets in Gurgaon. ( Opposite Jitender Behl Park, 154-B, New Colony Rd, New Colony , Baani Square market Sector 50)

Timings: 10am – 2.30pm; 4.30pm – 11pm

Special French omelet

Nah , they are not making the authentic french omelet it’s just the name. But the omelet served here is truly amazing , Made it lots of Amul butter and served with super tasty green chutney/sauce.So ,calories conscious people these eggs might not be that healthy but tasty for sure.

Also to try is half fried eggs , which is also uniquely served here.

    Another worth mentioning is the chat wala near Kabir bhawan is old Gurgaon!
